Steady Line Electrical Policies
1. Definitions
Company: Refers to Steady Line Electrical Pty Ltd and its employees, contractors, and affiliates.
Client: Refers to the person, company or entity receiving electrical services from Steady Line Electrical.
Services: Refers to all electrical services provided by the Company, including but not limited to installations, repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Agreement: Refers to the contract formed between the Company and the Client upon accepting a quotation or engaging the Company’s services.
2. General Conditions
By engaging our services, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
These T&Cs apply to both COMMERCIAL and RESIDENTIAL clients unless otherwise stated.
3. Services Provided
The Company provides electrical services in compliance with NSW electrical regulations, including AS/NZS 3000 (the Australian Standard for electrical installations).
The scope of services will be outlined in the quote or contract agreed upon prior to the start of the work.
4. Pricing and Payment
All fees for electrical services are based on the quoted price, unless otherwise agreed. The quoted price is an estimate and variations may occur if the scope of work changes.
Commercial Clients: Payment terms are 30 days from the date of the invoice.
Residential Clients: Payment is due upon completion of services
Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month.
All prices are inclusive of GST.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client must provide access to the property and ensure the work area is safe and clear.
The Client is responsible for informing the Company of any hazardous conditions or prior electrical issues.
It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure all necessary permits or approvals are obtained so Steady Line Electrical employees can carry out the work with no delays
6. Warranty and Guarantees
Steady Line Electrical provides a 12 month warranty on electrical work against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers repairs or replacements of faulty parts or work.
This warranty does not apply if the defect results from misuse, accidental damage or modifications made by the Client or third parties.
All equipment and materials provided by the Company are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
7. Permits and Approvals
The Company will obtain any required electrical permits and approvals where applicable, as per NSW government regulations.
For commercial projects, the Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with local zoning laws and council approvals unless otherwise agreed upon.
8. Liability
The Company will not be held liable for any damages or losses resulting from:
Force major events (natural disasters etc)
Pre existing faults or issues that the Client fails to disclose prior to the commencement of services.
Any changes made to the electrical system by a third party after Steady Line Electrical has completed its work.
The Client acknowledges that electrical work is inherently dangerous and that the Company will take all reasonable precautions to ensure safety during the execution of services.
9. Subcontracting
The Company reserves the right to subcontract work to other licensed electricians or contractors as needed, ensuring all work complies with NSW electrical standards.
10. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate the Agreement with written notice if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
If the Client cancels the service after work has commenced, they may be required to pay for materials and labor completed up to the point of cancellation.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between the Client and the Company will first be attempted to be resolved through mediation.
If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved in accordance with NSW laws in a court of competent jurisdiction.
12. Privacy and Confidentiality
The Company will maintain confidentiality regarding the Client’s personal and business information, except as required by law.
Personal data provided by the Client will be used solely for the purpose of providing the electrical services and will be stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
13. Compliance with NSW Laws
The Company will comply with all relevant laws, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to the NSW Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2004, NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011, and AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules).
The Client agrees to comply with all local building codes, council regulations, and legal requirements related to the electrical work.
14. Force Majeure
The Company will not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, industrial disputes, government regulations, and other unforeseen events.
15. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Company reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Client, and the Client will be bound by the new terms once acknowledged or agreed to.
Acceptance
By signing or agreeing to a quote, contract or invoice, the Client acknowledges acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
